I hope anyone who decides to own a ferret or any animal-they have a talk with their parents to find out first if
they can support the ferret with food, vet bills, medication. For any animal has the right to be treated as a family
member just as a baby who comes into the world with yearly SHOTS and as it ages like a human can have
problems as it ages such as diabeties, kidney failure, cancer or any type of emergencies which can be costly.
Our ferret had an ear infection-though I knew where to take him, that the cost wouldn't be so high but some areas
vet visits are as much as $60-80 just to walk threw the door to see the doctor. Don't give up call around and
take charge of mothering your pet!! Also think ahead about finding a vet for your ferret...call around before he/she is sick because, not ALL vets are experienced in any form
of Rodents (though I know they aren't a rodent). Sometimes they have specialist whom may charge you more for
the visit than a normal vet too. So always ask questions!!
So yes, all animals ARE expensive even when it comes to just buying food and bedding. But it's well worth it in
the long run when our little ones pounce around like a bunch of crazies to make us laugh! Can't put a price tag on that!
